STOP PRESS! Breaking news in the entertainment world has Saucy bass player Nick “Barry” Daniel selling all of his worldly possessions and travelling to rural India to become an acolyte of the mysterious Yogi Bagdmealiveone. Always the most spiritual of the Flapdragons, it appears that Daniel met the Yogi during a recent rock festival appearance at Glastonbury and decided to make drastic changes when he was late for the summer solstice celebrations at the Avebury Stones. Daniel commented “I just couldn’t cope with being late for everything any more and I’ve been on all the time management courses and tried tying metal objects to my private parts, but nothing worked until the Yogi made sense of everything.” The two were briefly separated when Daniel missed the flight to Goa. The Yogi issued a brief statement confirming that Daniel had joined the ranks of his acolytes but appeared to be uncertain as to the strength of his faith asking “Has his cheque cleared?” Nick Daniel is 71.

The Saucy Flapdragons are a six piece popular beat combo based in Sussex. The versatile line up allows the band to play all styles of music, although the performance is based around 60s and 70s rock- leading to several air guitar injuries at past gigs. All are accomplished musicians (except the rhythm guitarist who is crap) and the band is especially strong vocally, with no fewer than five of the six taking lead vocals. We play all your favourite songs and have attracted comments such as “the best live band around”, “a sensation” and “I always judge a band by how sore my feet are the next day and I could barely walk!!” Which is nice.

The band puts on a great show and has an excellent reputation in the functions and corporate area, performing at charity balls for Sir Steve Redgrave’s Golden Five and Grattan Catalogues, plus corporate work for a FTSE 100 client amongst others. We also support other charities on a regular basis and play private functions across the UK and Ireland.

The performance is high energy and fast paced and the dance floor is always packed, so spare a thought for the drummer who isn’t getting any younger and occasionally needs oxygen. Although based in the south, we have performed all over the UK and are happy to travel in our quest to bring sweetness and light to all.

So if you want people talking about your event for years to come in that awestruck tone usually reserved for Felicity Kendall's bottom, then you need to book the Saucy Flapdragons!

The name? Shakespeare of course!
